Tanya and Andrew enjoyed a spectacular destination wedding, and although they live in Toronto, they decided to host a tea ceremony here in Vancouver for some of their West Coast friends and family who couldn’t make it to Mexico… They planned to wear their wedding attire again and, of course, that called for more wedding photos. I think an in town reception is a great idea for any couple who has opted for a destination wedding. Having a photographer present will leave you with more wedding photos, and with only a few hours of coverage needed, it doesn’t have to break the bank!

We spent about an hour making use of Stanley Park, before friends and family gathered at The Teahouse. Appetizers were served, and the tea ceremony took place. I love to photograph the Chinese tea ceremonies… they are such a neat tradition and offer so many great opportunities for candid shots. After a few short toasts, my time was already up, and I left them to enjoy their lunch. It was a short work day for me, but most definitely a memorable one. Here are a few of my favourite photos!
